This is the most recent wedding I did. The groom signed up for the military and they wanted to get married before he left for basic training. That left 2 weeks to pull off the wedding. The bride didn't like his idea of getting married by a JP so she called me.
The couple settled on an old fashioned traditional garden wedding with a potluck reception. It was a small informal affair with around 30 guests. I wove ivy and tulle around the poles of the canopy to tie it into the garden wedding theme. Then I hung 4 white wedding bells from the canopy. The arch was decorated with pink, white and purple flowers as well as tulle and ivy. We placed a few vases and baskets of flowers in the same colors around the area. There were tables back by the house for the food and drinks.
It rained in the morning but fortunately stopped in time for the wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony. The couple was very happy with how everything turned out and thanked me with several hugs.
